William "Bill" Tryon, 76, of Washburn, ND, died January 27, 2024 at Sanford Heath, Fargo, ND.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February, 3, 2024 at 1:00PM at St. Edwin's Catholic Church, Washburn with Fr. Patrick Cunningham officiating.  Burial will be in the ND Veterans Cemetery on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 2:00PM.  There will be a prayer service at 6pm on Friday, February 2, 2024 at the Church in Washburn.

Bill was born on October 14, 1947 in La Crosse, KS, the son of William H and Magdalena "Lena" (Hagerman) Tryon.  He attended school in Nekoma, KS and Alexander, KS.  He attended trade school in Hutchinson, KS for welding and machine shop.  Bill served in the US Army for 3 years, upon his return he was a custom harvester for many years.  He married Lucy Gernand on August 7, 1972 in La Crosse, KS.  They moved to ND in 1981.  Bill continued to work as an over the road trucker.  He enjoyed woodworking, welding, fishing, hunting and driving tractor and combine.

Bill is survived by his wife, Lucy, Washburn, ND; a son, William Roger II (Jamie) Tryon, Hazen, ND; daughters:  Candy "Paige" Tryon, Moose Lake, WA and Sonya "Sonnie" (Ron) Driggers, Fargo, ND; eleven grandchildren:  Christa, Skiler, Harley, Dallas, Timothy, Izabella, Edik, Ashly, Will III, Emily and Lilly; brother,  Robert (Betty) Tryon, Liebenthal, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Ian; sisters: Norma Stieben, Donna Harris and Nancy Livingood; and a brother, David Tryon.
