Willard Frank Stadler was born December 3, 1928 at Kongsberg, ND, the son to Frank & Marie (Krumwiede) Stadler. He lived on the family homestead sixteen miles north of Turtle Lake. Bill farmed with his father for several years and later took over operation of the family farm. He held a true passion for farming and ranching. He served on various boards, including the Turtle Lake Rural Fire Department and the Arena Township Board. Bill married Violet Weible in 1983. The couple made their home on the farm during summer months and in Turtle Lake during the winter. Violet passed away from cancer in 1993. Bill continued to live in Turtle Lake until 2001 when he sustained a spinal cord injury that required him to move to an assisted care facility in Bismarck. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and especially enjoyed going to the racetrack and supporting the Troy Kittler Racing team.
He is survived by one brother, Russell (Jackie) Stadler of Turtle Lake, ND; two sisters, Marge (Noel) McHone of Danville, CA, & Beverly (Leonard) Storbeck of Minot, ND; eight nieces and nephews; nine great nieces & nephews; and a special friend, Lois Schock.
