Wayne B. Klatt, 66, of Turtle Lake, ND died November 19, 2015 at his residence

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday November 24, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Turtle Lake, with Pastor Sondra Krogstad officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday at the church and one hour before the services at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be held in the Turtle Lake Cemetery with military rites provided by the Turtle Lake American Legion Post 133.

Wayne was born July 30, 1949 in Bismarck, ND the son of Theodore and Delia (Mayer) Klatt. He was raised and educated in Mercer, graduating from the Mercer High School in 1967. He also attended college in Williston and Minot. Wayne served in the U.S. Navy from 1971 until 1977. He married Cheryn Geigle on July 31, 1976 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church. Wayne farmed with his parents North of Mercer before moving to Turtle Lake in 1996. He worked for Duane "Dewy" Helm doing construction work. He then went to work for the Turtle Lake Farmers Union.

Wayne was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served on the church council and was also a member of the Turtle Lake American Legion Post 133.

He enjoyed being on his computer and reading.

He is survived by his wife Cheryn of Turtle Lake; his sons, Kerry of Beulah, ND, Ryan of Bismarck, Justyn (Kimberly) of Lustre, MT, Darnyl of Windsor, WI, Shayne (Anna) of Plymouth, MN; 9 grandchildren, Kole, Beau, Chance, Cayden, Prestyn, Sidney, Aubrey, Saedira, Karly; a brother, Theodore (Michelle) Klatt of Balfour, ND; sisters, Linda (Glen) Stanford, Inez Klatt, Kristie Klatt (Don Butler) all of Athens, AL, Teresa (Boyd) Brummond of Havana, ND; brothers-in-law, Russ Rohde of Athens, AL, Jeff Tiedge of Eagle, ID, Duane "Dewy" Helm of Turtle Lake; and many nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Gloria Helm, Norma Rohde and Vickie Tiedge; his father-in-law, Art Geigle and a brother-in-law, Curt Geigle.
