Walter W. Montgomery, age 80 of Washburn, ND, formerly of San Antonio, TX, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at a Bismarck hospital.
Upon his request, his body was donated to the University of North Dakota Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology. No immediate funeral services will be held.
Walter Wayne Montgomery was born September 30, 1925 at Muskogee, OK the son of Charles N. & Vera B. (Morand) Montgomery. Walter worked as an electrical technician/engineer for a linen industrial company for many years. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to many and will be dearly missed by his children and surviving family. Walter was an avid gardener and enjoyed reading the Bible. He is remembered for his ability to whistle virtually any tune. His memory will be cherished by the ones he held dear to his heart.
He is survived by three children, Jonell Zaiontz of Washburn, ND, Rick Montgomery of San Antonio, TX, & Chris Montgomery of San Antonio, TX; five grandchildren, Tamara Franklyn, Tina Franklyn, Mellissa Montgomery, Cody Montgomery, & Lauren Montgomery; & five great grandchildren, Nichole, Alyssa, & Drew Sims, and Katy & Kaleb Macias.
