Obituary

Viola Wagner, age 86 of Turtle Lake, ND, died Thurdsay, April 27, 2006 at the Marian Manor Nursing Home in Glen Ullin, ND.

Funeral Services: 10:30 AM Monday, May 1, 2006;
Trinity Lutheran Church - Turtle Lake, ND;
Rev. Karen Nelson, Officiating;
Interment: Turtle Lake Cemetery;
Visitation: 6:00 - 9:00 PM Sunday at Goetz Funeral Home - Turtle Lake;
Monday, 1 hour prior to time of service at the church.

Viola was born February 18, 1920 at rural Mercer, ND the daughter to John & Johanna (Schock) Braun. She graduated from Mercer High School in 1938 and worked at the A.S.C.S. office in Washburn. Viola married Emil Wagner on November 6, 1938 at Mercer. The couple farmed south of Turtle Lake, ND for many years. They retired in 1979 and moved into Turtle Lake. Viola was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and an active member of the Rhoda Circle of the W.E.L.C.A.. She was a charter member of the Red Trail Homemakers Club, and enjoyed gardening and playing cards.

She is survived by one son, Franklin (Angie) Wagner of Bismarck, ND; three grandsons, Erik (Tanna) Wagner of Reading, PA, Daniel (Kathy) Wagner of Bismarck, ND, & Jason (Christine) Wagner of Norwich, CT; two great-grandchildren, Andrew & Alexandra Wagner; & 4 step-great grandchildren, Casey, Nathan, Kelly, & Dustin Helbling;
one sister, Mary Sundby of Bismarck, ND; one brother, Walter (Lucille) Braun of Bismarck, ND; & many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband (Emil in January 2002), four sisters (Esther Johnson, Ida Seibold, Louise Eggleston, & Bertha Moser), & 4 brothers (Martin Braun, John Braun, August Braun, & Reuben Bentz).
