Vickie Renee (Pressnall) Schmidt age 73 of Turtle Lake, ND died June 2, 2025 in the CHI St. Alexius Community Memorial Hospital, Turtle Lake.  Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, June 9, 2025 at the Turtle Lake Methodist Church with Pastor Charles Springer officiating.  Interment will be held in the Mercer Hillside Cemetery following the lunch.

Vickie was born on June 4, 1951, in Bottineau, North Dakota, to Raymond and Verna (Torgerson) Pressnall. She married Bennie Schmidt on July 20, 1966, in McClusky, North Dakota. Together, they built a life full of love and raised three children: Teresa Jepson (Myron), Brian Schmidt (Lisa), and Glenn Schmidt (Darci). After living in Tioga and Washburn, they settled in Turtle Lake in 1976, where they made their permanent home.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Vickie found her greatest joy in family. She was blessed with seven grandchildren—Lucas Presser (Amanda), Nicholas Presser (Michelle), Katelynn Presser (Billy), Michael Schmidt (Emily), Megan Evans (Jacob), Kylee Davis (Harley), and Natalie Schmidt (Mitch), and ten great-grandchildren who brought her endless happiness.

Vickie had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed fishing, reading, sewing, and tending to her yard. A skilled quilter, she created handmade quilts for each of her grandchildren upon their high school graduation, a heartfelt tradition that captured her love and generosity.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bennie, and their three children. Vickie was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Allen and Skip.

She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.  Blessed be the memory of Vickie.
