Treasure Sims, age 31 of East Bethel, MN, formerly of Coleharbor, ND, died Friday, October 26 at a Minneapolis hospital from injuries sustained in a motorcycle/vehicle accident near East Bethel, MN. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, November 9, 2007 at Augustana Lutheran Church in Underwood, ND.
Treasure was born on April 16, 1976 in Garrison, ND to Gregory John and Darlyne Jane Esser. She was raised in Coleharbor and attended Underwood Public School. After graduating from Underwood High School, she attended North Dakota State University where she received a bachelor degree in Psychology. She later returned to NDSU to receive a Masters degree in Statistics. Pursuing a career as a research analyst, Treasure successfully began her own business in 1997.
Treasure Lilly married her high school sweetheart and soul mate Joshua Sims on January 31, 2003. As a couple they lived their lives together to the fullest. She loved spending time with her family and friends and mostly her "girls" (miniature schnauzers) Ellie and Lucy. She enjoyed traveling, running, yoga, cooking, and riding with the wind in her hair.
Treasure was exceptionally bright and extremely talented. Her latest passion in life was poetry. She was very proud of a poem she had written that had recently been published and was currently writing a book of original poetry. She also started working on a series of children books.
Treasure will always be remembered for her stunning smile. Her magnetic personality and contagious laugh could light up a room. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Treasure's inner beauty and radiant spirit gave true meaning to her name. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Those remaining to share her legacy include her loving husband, Joshua Sims of East Bethel MN; her father, Gregory John Esser of Moore ID; brothers, Gordon Esser of Coleharbor, ND, & John Esser of Pocatello ID; grandmother, Barbara Esser of Minot, ND; mother-in-law, Karla Nelson of Rapid City, SD; father-in-law, Gary Mautz of Underwood, ND; sister-in-laws, Misty Esser of Pocatello ID, Laura Mautz of Rapid City, SD, Kayla Trombetta of Rapid City, SD; brother-in-law, & Troy Trombetta of Rapid City, SD. She was a devoted aunt to Brandon, Hailey, and Maycee.
She is now reunited in heaven with her mother Darlyne, brother Allen, and aunt Lilly.
