Thomas Wertz, age 17 of Coleharbor ND, died Friday, August 4, 2006 at a Garrison hospital from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Funeral Services: 4:00 PM Tuesday, August 8, 2006;
Underwood High School Gymnasium - Underwood, ND;
Rev. Dan Maurer, Officiating;

Interment: Coleharbor Cemetery - Coleharbor, ND;
**Following the committal service, a fellowship lunch will be served at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Underwood.

Visitation: 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM Monday at Augustana Lutheran Church in Underwood.
Tuesday, 1 hour prior to time of service at the Underwood School Gymnasium.

Thomas Daniel Wertz was born September 4, 1988 at Minot, ND the son to Marcus & Mary (Duben) Wertz. He attended school in Underwood and was preparing to enter his senior year at Underwood High School. Thomas was a member of the Underwood Comets Varsity Football team, the Underwood Comets Track team, and was an active member of the Augustana Lutheran Youth Group. He enjoyed playing video games and hanging around the fire pit in his back yard with friends. He was a proud and caring big brother, and will be remembered for his wonderful, mischievous grin. Thomas leaves us too soon, but not before making a difference in the lives of all who knew and loved him. His laughter was infectious, and his love for family and friends unbreakable. Thomas is remembered for his ability to bring people together. He found joy in all that surrounded him and he shared that joy unselfishly with others.

He is survived by his loving parents, Marcus & Mary Wertz of Coleharbor, ND;
2 brothers, Nicholas & Noah Wertz of Coleharbor, ND; his maternal grandparents, Edward & "Granny" Annie Duben of Coleharbor, ND; paternal grandparents, Donald & Phyllis Wertz of Lavina, MT; aunts & uncles, Emery (Cindy) Duben of Lansford, ND, Paul (Ronda) Duben of Garrison, ND, Julie (Joel) Bergstedt of Hazen, ND, John (Stacey) Duben of Coleharbor, ND, Anthony (Katie) Duben of Fargo, ND, Rick (Kristy) Berryman of Lompoc, CA, Cindy (Tommy) Grossini of Lompoc, CA, David Morton of Broadview, MT, & many loving cousins.

He was preceded in death by his aunt (Debbie Morton), & cousin (Jody Morton)
