Tamara (Tami) Franklyn, 49, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on May 18th at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck, ND. Celebration of Tamara's life will take place at 2:00 Friday, June 7, 2019 at Washburn United Methodist Church with Pastor Kayla Buckley officiating. Inurnment will be held a later date in Sunne Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Tamara was born May 7th, 1970 to JoNell Zaiontz and John Franklyn. She was raised in California and moved to Texas in high school, where she would later meet the love of her life, Larry, in 1991.

Tamara loved her kids and always knew her calling in life was to be a mom. Tamara was mother to four children: Nichole (30), Alyssa (22), Drew (22) and one son in heaven, Dylan.

Tamara enjoyed various careers throughout her working years, but her favorite thing to do was help people. She was a deeply caring person with the kindest heart. Tamara enjoyed listening to hip hop music and dancing around the house while cleaning. She always knew the latest, cool dance moves lovingly taught to her by her daughters. She also enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with Larry and her kids. Tamara will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Tamara is survived by Larry Sims; her children Nichole (Shawn) Franklin, Alyssa Sims, and Drew Sims; her mother JoNell Zaiontz; her sister Tina Franklyn; two grandchildren; and many other family members.

She was preceded in death by her son Dylan Sims, her father John Franklyn, her father-in-law Billy Sims and her nephew Eric Hirchert.
