Steven Scholl, age 60 of Washburn, ND died February 28, 2011 at a Bismarck hospital.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Friday, March 4th at First Lutheran Church in Washburn with Pastor Erik Johnson officiating.

Interment will be held at a later date in the Birka Lutheran Cemetery, rural Washburn.

Visitation will be from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn, and continue Friday one hour prior to time of service at the church.

Steven P. Scholl was born on October 8, 1950 in Turtle Lake, ND to Harry E. & Jeanette (Moore) Scholl. He grew up in Washburn and attended Washburn Public School graduating from high school in 1968. Steve went on to college and graduated from Minot State College with a degree in Geology. Following his college graduation, he returned to the family farm near Washburn. He married Glenda Rothmann on June 2, 1979 in Washburn. They made their home on the family farm where Steve continued to farm and ranch for many years. Steve made many changes and updates to the farmyard and loved his career. He was a onetime member of the First Lutheran Church Council and served on the Washburn School Board for 12 years. Steve was an avid reader and enjoyed having coffee and conversation with his brother George.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Scholl of Washburn; three children, Alan Scholl of Washburn, Lori Scholl of Grand Forks, & Sara Scholl of Bismarck; one brother, George (Jolene) Scholl of Washburn; two sisters, Marian (Dwaine) Gullickson of Minot, & Jenene (Michael) Kittleson of Coleharbor; and many nieces & nephews.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents.
