Stanley "Stan" Goehring, 70, formerly of Washburn and Underwood, ND died December 18, 2019 at the Benedictine Living Center, Garrison, ND.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, December 23, 2019 at the Benedictine Living Center, Garrison with Pastor Curt Hanson officiating.  Interment will be held in the Zion Lutheran German Cemetery, Washburn.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday at the Benedictine Living Center.

Stan was born August 18, 1949 in Bismarck, North Dakota the son of Raymond and Arlette (Payne) Goehring. He was raised and educated in Washburn where he graduated from high school in 1967. He married Karen Sadowsky in 1975 in Dickinson, ND. Stan worked as a water plant operator for Basin Electric in Beulah, ND in many years prior to retiring in 2000.

He enjoyed spending time at his lake cabin where he also enjoyed water skiing and boating. Stan also enjoyed music and especially playing his guitar. Stan was member of First Lutheran Church in Washburn.

Stan is survived by his wife, Karen of the Benedictine Living Center, Garrison; his sons, Jeremy of the Benedictine Living Center, Garrison and Jesse of Minot, ND; his daughter, Wendy Goehring of Boise, ID; his brothers, Wayne (Cindy) Goehring of Oregon and Dan Goehring (Janis Bork) of Moorhead, MN and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
