Sidney Earl Harper, 74, Underwood, ND died December 10, 2020 at Sanford Health, Bismarck.  Private family services will be held with burial in the Underwood Cemetery with Pastor Steve Vetter officiating.

Sidney was born December 8, 1946 the son of Chester and Dorothy (Christensen) Harper in Elgin North Dakota. He served in the US Navy for ten years and retired from the Civil Service of the US Navy after 17 years.  After Sid retired, he moved to Underwood, where he purchased various properties including Harper's Hardware and the Lincoln Park Motel.  Sid was once married to Marjory McLaren and had two children, Teresa Harper and Raymond (Paula) Harper. A son, Cole Harper born December 23, 1994 to Beth Gabler.  Sid was happily married to Jill Eng on March 3, 2003 in Las Vegas NV. Jill's children are Mindy (Matt) Anderson and Chris (Amy) Eng.

Sid is also survived and dearly loved by his sister, Laurel Moser; his brothers, Gene (Bert) Harper and Lee Harper; his brother in law, Jack Sem and many more brothers/sisters in law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and great-grandchildren.

Sid was an avid golfer and his only handicap was his grumpiness. He also greatly enjoyed the outdoors which involved, camping, hunting and fishing.  Sid loved attending Underwood High School sporting events and watching Maggie, Lilly and Adlyn play. Sid will always be remembered for his love of family.  This one of a kind, unforgettable man has left some shoes that are going to be pretty hard to fill.
