Sharyll B. Tweeten, 72, Washburn, ND, died April 4, 2014 at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday April 9, 2014 at the Washburn Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Torkelson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday at the church and will continue one hour before services on Wednesday at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday at the church.
Interment will be held in the Riverview Cemetery, Washburn, ND
Sharyll was born June 19, 1941 in Underwood, ND the daughter of Gordon and Wilhelmena (Johnson) Zingg. She was raised and educated in Turtle Lake, ND where she graduated from high school in 1959. Sharyll married Clinton Tweeten on September 6, 1959 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Turtle Lake. Following their marriage they lived 12 miles N.E. of Washburn. She worked as a housekeeper at the Praireview Nursing Home for 20 years. She retired from the nursing home in 2007.
Sharyll was a member of the Washburn Baptist Church where she served in many capacities. She was also a member of the Turtle Lake Study Club and the Pioneer Daughters. She served on the Ingersoll School and Cemetery Board for many years. She enjoyed sewing, baking, attending horse shows with Clinton and most of all spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Clinton, Washburn; daughter, Barb (Gust) Stute of Mercer, ND; sons, Rob (Bonnie) Tweeten of Hensler, ND, Chad (Bridgett) Tweeten of Washburn; 8 grandchildren, Cayce (Nancy), Shaun, Zac, Clay, Luke, Ryan, Logan, AvaBelle and 2 great grandchildren, Adam and Hannah; brothers, Byron (Beverly) Zingg of McClusky, ND, Lamont "Monte" Zingg of Turtle Lake; sisters, Connie (Arlin) Kemmit of Turtle Lake, Judy (Gary) Presser of Mercer, ND; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Debbie (Loren) Loose of Underwood, ND and Karen (Richard) Hanson of Turtle Lake.
Sharyll was preceded in death by her parents, a sister-in-law, Suzie Zingg and several nieces, nephews and a great niece.
