Sandra "Sande" Wagner, 84, of Washburn, died Wednesday, July 30, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held at First Lutheran Church, Washburn, ND at 10:30AM on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 7:00PM at the church.
Sandra (Sande) Lee Wagner, 84, Washburn and formerly of Mott, ND, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at home surrounded by her family.
Sande Larson was born December 8, 1940, to Elmo and Berenice (Jamtgaard) Larson in
Washburn, ND. She graduated with the Washburn class of 1958 and went on to Bismarck Junior College. Her secretarial career began at First District Health Unit in Bismarck and then transferred to Minot after she married the love of her life, Arden Wagner, in 1962. They were blessed with three children, Scott, Pamela, and Stephanie.
Once the children were older, Sande returned to the workforce at the Mott SPED Unit and finally retired from Hettinger County Social Services. She remained active in her church with Council, committees, and Bible Studies) and community (Christian Women's Club). Sande was an avid sports fan. When she finished following their kids' and grandkids' sports' seasons, Sande & Ardy joined friends to watch the NDSU Bison and Minnesota Twins. In the quiet moments, she was often reading, embroidering, baking, puzzling, or writing a card to friends and family. She and Ardy often enjoyed motorcycle rides, bus tours, and trips together to see their children and grandchildren.
Her loving family includes: Husband Arden Wagner; Son Scott (Karen) Wagner, Omaha NE;
Daughters Pam (Mark) Bagaason, Clearbrook MN, and Stephanie (Jeff) Beyer, Kent MN;
Grandchildren Kayla (Mark) Kruse, Cassie (David) Heying, Jared (fiancé Bethany) Wagner,
Dylan (fiancé Emily) Wagner, Jack (fiancé Madison) Beyer, Lauren Beyer, and Beau Beyer; Great
Grandchildren Lyla Kruse, Vayda Kruse, Marcus Kruse, and Waylon Heying; Sister Berna Jo
(Michael) Kidd.
Sande was preceded in death by her parents, Elmo & Bernie Larson, and her sister & brother-in-law, Lorna
and Mylon Ash.
The family requests that memorials be directed to either First Lutheran Church in Washburn or CHI Hospice.
