Sandy was born August 29, 1948 to William Sr. and Eva (Wolf) Rutschke. She spent her early years in Zeeland, ND with her siblings Tom (Linda), Sharon (Jim Schweigert), William Jr. (Rhonda) and Donnie (Denise). The family moved to Bismarck just before Sandy's senior year where she went on to graduate from Bismarck High. Sandy went on to Bismarck Junior College and later worked as a secretary for the state.
On June 29, 1974 Sandy married Mark Murrey. They began their life in Bismarck and later moved to Mark's hometown of Wilton where they raised their three children, Patty, Travis and Tyrell. Sandy later worked at the school but spent most of her years being a wonderful stay at home mom and wife.
Sandy was special to so many. She had the most caring and giving heart, always making sure her family and anyone they had with them were fed and well taken care of. She was the biggest champion of her kids. She was at every event, usually with her enormous camcorder on her shoulder. She made it her mission to give her children the best life possible. Mission accomplished Mom !
As we begin to figure out life without her, we will take so many wonderful memories with us. We were all beyond blessed to be loved by her. She is survived by her daughter, Patty (Victor) Schock; sons, Travis (Ashley) Murrey and Tyrell (Kelli) Murrey; her grandchildren, Rachel and Lindsey Schock, Lincoln and London Murrey, Hollyn and Hazel Murrey. She also leaves behind her siblings and her in-laws, Stan Murrey, Mikkel Libby, Debbie Fritel, Colleen (Donny) Flinn and Tom (Carrie) Murrey. Her loss will be felt deeply by all of her nieces and nephews.
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her in-laws, Frank and Esther (Wanner) Murrey; a grandchild; niece, Sam Murrey; sister-in-law, Dorothy Murrey and brother-in-law, Ernie Fritel.
