Ron was not a traditional man, nor would he want a traditional obituary, so let me tell you about our brother. He was a loving man that tried to be so tough, but we really know how much he loved us. So as our final farewell to our brother, here is Ron, our brother, in a nutshell.
Ron was born in September 1956 in Hazen, North Dakota. He attended school in Underwood where he developed an interest in hairstyling at a young age. He graduated from Underwood High School in 1974 and attended the RD Hairstyling School in Bismarck. He returned to Underwood where he worked at Connie's Cut & Curl from 1974 to 1984. In 1984, Ron became employed as a hair stylist at Regis Salon in the Kirkwood Mall where he worked until the time of his death. He was loved and adored by so many of his Underwood clients that they followed him to Regis Salon in Bismarck. Ron's skills as a hair stylist placed him on the President's Club at Regis for many years. Ron was an extremely talented man whose life revolved around his work as a stylist and a friend to his countless clients. Ron's skills as a hair stylist allowed him to be involved in the Miss North Dakota Beauty Pageant for over 20 years and style the hair of country music artists Martina McBride and Lorrie Morgan. He undoubtedly loved the finer things in life and had a gift for decorating. His decorating skills involved him in a wide spectrum of things, from doing hair for proms and special occasions, to decorating his own apartment and complex front lobby during the holidays. Ron's favorite time of the year was the Christmas season. He was known to decorate his 2-bedroom apartment with 7 Christmas trees. If you were lucky enough to have Ron style your hair, you knew you had the top man doing it, and knew he would love you and keep you as a friend for always. Blessed be the memory of Ron Torgrimson.
