Ronald Almer, 64 of Turtle Lake, ND lived his life knowing that someday he would be face to face with his savior, died on August 26, 2015. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Monday August 31, 2015 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Turtle Lake. Officiating will be the Rev. Harold Chin. Interment will be at 3:00 PM Monday at the ND Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Ronnie was born in Moorhead, MN to Melvin and Adeline (Wahl) Almer on July 20, 1951. He was raised in West Fargo, ND and graduated from West Fargo High School in 1969. He spent time in Korea serving our country as a member of the U.S. Army. His daughter, Sarah, was born after his return. They lived in McClusky, ND for several years before he moved to Turtle Lake.
Ronnie is survived by his daughter; Sarah (Jon) Thornton, his grandchildren; Hailey, Hunter, Aiden and Isaac, his brothers and sisters; Phyllis (Frank) Baumgardner of St. Paul, MN, Dorothy (Larry) Kraft of West Fargo, ND, Rick (Sara) Almer of West Fargo, ND, Vicki (Art) Eberhardt of Nixa, MO and Terry (Tara) Almer of Fargo, ND. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one niece.
