Roger W. Anderson, age 76 of Turtle Lake, ND went to his heavenly home on Saturday, April 28, 2007. He was surrounded by his loving family at the Community Memorial Hospital in Turtle Lake.

Wednesday, 1 hour prior to time of service at the church.
Roger was born September 19, 1930 at Turtle Lake, ND, the son to Haven & Egna (Fylling) Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Roger graduated from Turtle Lake High School in 1949. He worked on the construction phase of the Garrison Dam and rural electric (REC) construction. He married Lorraine Hofer on November 10, 1950 at Turtle Lake. Roger was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1951 and served at stations in Korea and Japan. He has honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1953. Following his discharge, he worked construction jobs at the Minot Air Force Base, Grand Forks Air Force Base, and the Oahe Dam near Pierre, SD. Roger returned to Turtle Lake to live and work at the Equity Lumber Yard and Farmers Union Oil Station. In the spring of 1976, he and his sons established the Anderson Construction Company. Roger served on the Turtle Lake Park Board for 30 years and was a member of the Turtle Lake American Legion Post #133. He enjoyed playing softball for many years and was a devoted Minnesota Vikings fan. Roger also enjoyed going camping, fishing, and hunting. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lorraine Anderson of Turtle Lake;
ten children, Cheryl (Don) Tweeten of Washburn, Randy (Beth) Anderson of Turtle Lake, Carla Thomas of Turtle Lake, Roby (Bobbie) Anderson of Turtle Lake, Tami (Mike) Ballard of Dickinson, Joi (Leah) Anderson of Turtle Lake, Tari Anderson of Bismarck, Jodi (Troy) Tweeten of Rozet, WY, Rikki (Tammy) Anderson of Turtle Lake, Cory (Colleen) Anderson of Grand Rapids, MI; 26 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren; one sister, Irene (Elmer) Strobel of Turtle Lake; one sister-in-law, Ruth Anderson of Grafton, ND; two special cousins, Linda and Leon Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, brother (Virgil Anderson), and
grandson (Ty William Tweeten).
