Robert "Bob" W. Landgren, 80, rural Washburn, ND, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Sanford Health in Bismarck after a long courageous battle with cancer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Ascension Catholic Church 1905 South 3rd Street, Bismarck.  Interment will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday at Riverview Cemetery, Washburn.  Visitation and prayer vigil will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Sunday at Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.

Bob was born February 11, 1943 in Bismarck, ND the son of Marvin and Gail (Bickert) Landgren.  He was raised and educated in Washburn where he graduated from high school in 1961.  He also attended NDSU in Fargo before returning to the farm.  He farmed in the Painted Woods area his entire life.  He married Kathy (Lipp) Thomas and they later divorced.  Bob enjoyed spending the summer months water skiing, camping and spending time with friends and family and the winter months he enjoyed snowmobiling and skiing in his youth and later spending time in Arizona and traveling the country. He also enjoyed a good polka and spending time with his family and friends.  He spent the last 23 years with his special friend Pat Brown.  Bob was a member of the Bismarck Elks and the ND Dry Bean Council.

He is survived by his sisters, Mary Alice of League City, TX and (Charles) Simonson of Portland, Oregon and Texas and their children Kristen (Ryan) Nelson of Lake Oswego, OR and their children and Eric Simonson of Houston, Texas, Gail (Wilgoth) Carlson of Sheyenne ND and their children Sven (Andrea) Carlson of Sheyenne ND and Jon (Dorothy) Carlson of Lemmon SD and their children; his step-children, (Kathy's Children) - Bryan (Jeanne) Thomas of Bismarck and their children Hailee (Lucas) Kroll of Bismarck and Noah. Tim Thomas of Las Vegas NV and his children Sandra, Schelley and Paige.

Bob is also survived by his special friend Pat Brown of Mandan and her children Melissa (Monte) Sabot of Bismarck, Melinda (Todd) Wagner of Mobridge SD, and Shannon (Paula) Brown of Bismarck and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin (Shorty) and Gail Landgren of Wilton.
