Richard J. Radke, 73, Underwood, ND died March 18, 2019 at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck, ND.  Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday March 22, 2019 at Faith Evangelical Church, Underwood. Interment will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at the ND Veteran's Cemetery, Mandan, ND with military rites provided by the Mandan VFW & American Legion and US Navy. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.

Richard "Rich" Radke was born October 2, 1945 in Underwood the son of Carl and Esther (Kessler) Radke. He attended school in Underwood and graduated from high school in 1963. He also attended Wahpeton State School of Science before enlisting in the US Navy in 1965, serving during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1969 and returned to Underwood and worked in the family grocery business. Rich married Jacqueline "Jacque" (Bishop) Williams on June 10, 1977 at First Baptist Church in Underwood. They made their home in Underwood where they raised their family. Rich continued to work in the family grocery store "Radke Supervalu" until he and his brother, Curt, sold the business in May of 2002. He then went to work at Central Market and Krause Supervalu until his retirement.

Rich enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing and had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed playing practical jokes on his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his wife, Jacque of Bismarck; his daughter, Jennifer (John) Drazenovich of Mechanicsville, VA; his stepdaughter, Kathy Williams (Robert Stadick) of Underwood; his stepson, Glenn (Deena) Williams of McPherson, KS; his brother, Eugene (Michelle) Radke of Mandan, ND; 2 step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister-in-law, Curt (Doreen) Radke and a nephew, Chauncey Radke.
