Richard "Dick" E. Heinle, 83, Turtle Lake, ND died January 2, 2018 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday January 10, 2018 at the Turtle Lake United Methodist Church with Pastor Cory Thrall officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at the ND Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.

Dick was born June 17, 1934 in Turtle Lake the son of Rudolph and Ida (Korner) Heinle. He attended school in Turtle Lake and graduated from high school in 1951. Dick served in the US Navy from 1951 until his discharge in 1955. After his discharge he lived in southern California and Reno, NV where he worked as a welder, carpenter and iron worker. He moved back to Turtle Lake in the late 1980's. He worked for the City of Turtle Lake as a garbage collector and also mowed lawns. Dick enjoyed having coffee and shaking dice at Bev's Café with his friends and fellow veterans.

He is survived by his son, Richard Heinle of Turtle Lake; his daughter, Lajuana Walsh of Las Vegas, NV; his grandson, William Walsh III of Las Vegas; his brother, Jim (Nan) Heinle of Minnesota; his sisters, Doris Repnow of Minot, ND, Mona (Frank) Schaan of Minot, Anna (Buck) Buchholz of Gackle, ND and 34 nieces and nephews.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Andreas Jack Heinle, Herb Heinle, Marvin Heinle and Waldamore David Heinle and three sisters, Ruby Weishaar, Ruth Scalf and Orpha Evans.
