Raymond J. Millner was born January 19, 1957 in Heidlberg, Germany, the son of Margarete (Krick) & Anthony Millner Jr.. As a young boy, he was raised in Mandan, ND where he attended school and participated in sports and Cub Scouts. In the years to follow, Ray's health slowly deteriorated and he developed increasing disabilities. He made his home at the Prairie Rose Center in Dickinson, ND for twelve years and established many friendships while living there. He later moved to Bismarck and lived at the Sunrise Apartments for 3 ½ years. Ray became a resident of the Prairieview Nursing Home in September 2005. He was a very special person to many people and is remembered for his kind heart and joyful demeanor. Ray loved to sing and was known for his beautiful voice. He also enjoyed poems, playing pool, cards, and bingo. Ray's greatest joy was spending time with his family on the Missouri River near Washburn. In living with his disabilities, Ray never complained and withheld a positive outlook throughout his life.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Margarete & Toby Wagner of Washburn, ND; 2 brothers, Bob (Jennifer) Millner of Mandan, ND, Steve (Joan) Millner of Bismarck, ND; 1 step-brother, Darren Wagner of Molalla, OR; 1 step-sister, Terri (Bill) Rasmussen of Seattle, WA; uncle & aunt, Jon & Elaine Wagner of Lincoln, ND; many nieces and nephews, several relatives in Germany, and a very special friend, Craig Kappel of Dickinson, ND.
