Ravonne Lorea Schalesky, 79 of Turtle Lake, ND died September 29, 2017 at her residence in Turtle Lake. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday October 7, 2017 at Turtle Lake Baptist Church, Turtle Lake. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday at the church. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.

Ravonne was born June 13, 1938 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Minot the daughter of Jake and Ruth (Claussen) Schalesky. She was raised and educated near Max, ND. She received her GED from high School in 1977. Ravonne married Clarence Dockter in 1957 in Benedict, ND. Following their marriage they lived in several places before settling in Mandan, ND. She worked at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck as a housekeeper and cook. She moved to Turtle Lake in 2016 to be closer to her family.

She enjoyed collecting dolls, baking, canning, gardening and most of all spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ravonne also enjoyed horses and riding them in parades.

Ravonne is survived by her daughters, Joan (Greg) Painter of Hawley, MN, Kimberly (David) Dworshak of Bowbells, ND, Donna (Paul) Wacker of Turtle Lake, Wendy (Tom) Helbling of Mandan, ND and Neda (Brady) Degenstein of Washburn, ND; 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; her brothers, Dennis (Twila) Schalesky, Darrold Schalesky, Elwood Schalesky, Wesley (Carole) Schalesky; her sisters, Florence Hammer and Violet Davis and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, former husband Clarence Dockter, two infant sons, three infant brothers, an infant sister, a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Bev Schalesky and a sister-in-law, Laurella Fay Baumgartner.
