Randy Brewster, 61, of Bismarck and Mercer, ND, died November 6, 2014 at a Rochester, MN hospital.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, Nov. 11th at the Mercer Community Center in Mercer, ND with Pastor Randy Emgarten officiating. Burial will follow in the Mercer Hillside Cemetery. Following the graveside service, lunch will be served at the Mercer Community Center.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Mercer followed by a time of sharing stories at 7 PM. Visitation will continue Tuesday one hour prior to time of service at the Mercer Community Center.

Randy was born January 9, 1953 in Bismarck, ND to Howard & Vivian (Oberg) Brewster. His parents farmed near Mercer and later moved into Mercer where they owned a café and later changed it into a bar. Randy attended school in Mercer and was a member of the last graduating class from Mercer High School. On August 1, 1975, he married Sandy Morgan and together they raised two children, Allison and John. Randy worked for over 30 years for Basin Electric Cooperative in Bismarck and met many wonderful people throughout his career. He retired from Basin Electric in January 2013. Randy loved hunting with his children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, & nephews. He also loved to fish, either on a boat in the summer, or in an icehouse during the winter months, and routinely looked forward to his annual family fishing trip. Randy lived by the motto "Family comes first". He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy Brewster of Bismarck & Mercer; daughter, Alison Brewster-Cudney of West Fargo; son, John Brewster of Turtle Lake; 4 grandchildren; his mother, Vivian Brewster of McClusky; two brothers, Les (Marlys) Brewster & Tom Brewster, both of Mercer; two sisters, Karen Just of Mercer, & Judy (Gordon) Westerlind of Big Lake, MN.
He was preceded in death by his father (Howard).
