Randy Granlie, age 85 of Washburn, ND died Sunday, November 5, 2006 at a Bismarck hospital.

and Thursday, 12 Noon - 2:00 PM.
Randolph G. Granlie was born June 29, 1921 at Turtle Lake, ND the son to Nels & Clara (Kleppe) Granlie. He attended rural school near Turtle Lake and later worked as a farm laborer for several area farmers. Randy served stateside in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Evelyn Sellon and from this union were born four children, Glenda, Gordon, Gayle, & Geva. Randy drove a tour bus for many years and also worked as a custodian at many locations. He also assisted his son, Gordon, with his lawn service business. Randy married Lorraine Gruenberg Holznagel on August 26, 1978 and they made their home in Washburn. Lorraine passed away in Sept. 2000. Randy enjoyed gardening, walking, attending auction sales, and teasing his grandchildren.
He is survived by his 3 daughters, Glenda Randall of Albuquerque, NM, Gayle Haugh of Rio Rancho, NM, & Geva Scheer of St. Cloud, MN; 1 son, Gordon Granlie of Douglas, ND;
7 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren; 5 step-children, Violet Hanning, Janice Hanson, Bill Holznagel, Robert Holznagel, & Becky Gruenberg; 19 step-grandchildren
& 28 step-great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Luella Petersen of Washburn, ND, Jennie (Hurley) Holtan of Underwood, ND; & many nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife (Lorraine), infant son (Tommy), 3 brothers (Harold, Arnold, & Kenneth), & 2 sisters (Norma & Helen).
