Rachel Wenschlag, 54, Underwood, ND died April 22, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family while under the care of hospice.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday April 27, 2015 at Augustana Lutheran Church, Underwood. Officiating will be Pastor Curt Hanson. Interment will be in the Coleharbor Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Rachel was born September 22, 1960 in Garrison, ND the daughter of Richard and Orbella (Zuck) Brockel. She was raised and educated in Underwood. She was once married to Michael David Wenschlag. She lived in Twin Valley, MN until the late 1980's. She returned to Underwood where she did custodial work for the power plant and also took care of her mother. Rachel was engaged to Michael Albert Hanna in 2011. They owned and operated Hanna Honey Farms. She was very proud to be a bee keeper.
Rachel enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.
Rachel is survived by her children, Naomi (Bobby) Olson of Barnesville, MN, Wayland (Ashley) Wenschlag of Underwood, ND, Willie (Rhea) Wenschlag of Billings, MT.; 5 grandchildren, Ariel, Maximus, Cyrus, Atticus and Krixus; her fiancé Mike Hanna of Underwood; step children, Thomas (Ioana) Hanna of Riverdale, ND and Robbyn (John) Frost of Bellevue, NE; step grandchildren, Trey and Cole; a sister, Jeanne Georgesen (Bill Moe) of Fairview, MT.; brothers, Orville (Linda) Houser of Underwood, ND and Ernie Houser of Bismarck, ND and many nieces and nephews.
Rachel was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lisa Marie Wenschlag.; brothers, Conrad and Rodney Houser; step son Brian Hanna.
