Perry Makeeff, age 76 of Des Moines, IA, formerly of Mercer, ND, died Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the Mercer Baptist Church in Mercer, ND with Rev. Lucas Wagner, officiating. Interment will follow at the Mercer Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to time of service at the church.

Perry was a retired pastor and director of Child Evangelism of Fellowship for 30 years. He enjoyed people and sharing his faith in Jesus Christ. He was a bus driver for private and parochial schools. Perry was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Perry is survived by his three children, six grandchildren, and local North Dakota siblings and relatives.
