Paulette I. Bergquist, 73, of Turtle Lake, ND, died peacefully on August 21, 2019 following a long illness at CHI Community Hospital. Turtle Lake. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am, Monday, August 26 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Turtle Lake with Pastor Sondra Krogstad officiating. Burial will be in the St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery, rural Turtle Lake. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, Turtle Lake. Visitation will continue on Monday one hour prior to the service.

Paulette was born July 24, 1946 in Bismarck, ND, the daughter of Laverne and Irene (Gett) Boe. She was raised and educated in Turtle Lake, where she graduated from the Turtle Lake High School in 1964. She also attended Bismarck Hospital School of nursing. On September 29, 1967, Paulette married Donald "Joe" Bergquist in Riverdale, ND. Following their marriage, they lived in Underwood where she worked at Prairie View Nursing Home. They moved to Turtle Lake in 1973 and Paulette worked for Lindteigen Construction. She later worked in the healthcare profession, working for several doctors, clinics and at the Turtle Lake Hospital.

Paulette was a very active member of the Turtle Lake Ambulance service for many years. She served on the Trinity Lutheran Church Council for many years, where she also taught Sunday school. She enjoyed collecting dolls, sewing, baking and cooking.

Paulette is survived by her husband, Donald "Joe" Bergquist, Turtle Lake; a son, David (Lee) Bergquist, Turtle Lake; a daughter, Lisa (Lonnie) Lelm, Turtle Lake; five grandchildren: Justine Lelm (Lucas Yutrzenka), Landen Lelm, Natalie Bergquist, Abbie Bergquist and Troy Bergquist; sisters-in-law: Beverly Bergquist, Wilton and Barbara Goehring, Jamestown; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers-in-law: Bob Bergquist and Clarence Goehring.
