Paul Sigurdson, 77, formerly of Underwood, ND died March 17, 2022 at St. Vincent's A Prospera Community, Bismarck, ND.  Memorial services will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Underwood with Pastor Nathan Schieber officiating.  Burial will take place in the spring at the Coleharbor Cemetery.

Paul was born July 11, 1944 in Bismarck, ND the son of Norman and Eunice E. (Hoppe) Sigurdson.  He was raised and educated in the Coleharbor area.  He attended country school at Sitka through the 4 ^th grade.  He then attended school in Underwood, graduating from the Underwood High School in 1962.  He went on to attend school in Wahpeton for mechanics.  He moved back to Coleharbor and took over the family farm.

Paul married Patricia Tauer on June 22, 1968 at St. Bonaventure's Catholic Church in Underwood, ND. Following their marriage, they lived on the farm near Coleharbor.  Paul and Patty moved into Underwood in 1978, where Paul continued to farm.  He retired from farming in 1990 but continued to sell crop insurance for Cottingham Insurance.

Paul and Patty enjoyed traveling and spending their winters in Arizona and California.  Paul enjoyed boating, snow skiing and water skiing.  He will be remembered for always washing his cars and farm machinery.   He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where he was a previous elder.   Paul and Patty moved to Bismarck in 2016 where they lived until his death.

Paul is survived by his wife, Patricia "Patty" Sigurdson of Bismarck, ND; a sister, Barbara (Stuart) Loken of Minnesota; his sisters-in-law, Peggy (Mic) Johnson of Bismarck and Claudia (Dewey) Stromberg of Arizona and a niece and five nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Charles Tauer.
