Paul Gondringer, 77, of Turtle Lake, ND died on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at his residence. A funeral Mass celebrating Paul’s life will be held on December 4, 2025, at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Turtle Lake, North Dakota, starting at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral Mass at the church. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at the North Dakota Veteran's Cemetery in Mandan at 3:00 PM with full military honors.

Paul Gondringer was born on January 25, 1948, to Bernard and Clara (Panko) Gondringer. He dedicated his early years to farming on the family farm, a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment to family traditions. After completing his education at Turtle Lake High School, where he graduated in 1967, Paul answered the call of duty and was drafted into the United States Army in July of 1969. He honorably served for two and a half years, including a deployment in Vietnam from 1970 to 1971. During his time in service, Paul received several commendations, including the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal with a 60 device, the Vietnam Service Medal with one bronze service star, the Bronze Star Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. Paul was honorably discharged in January of 1972.

An active member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church. His involvement extended to the Turtle Lake American Legion Post #133, where he was recognized for his dedicated service with a 50-year member award in 2022.

Paul had a variety of interests that enriched his life, including hunting, playing Texas Hold 'em, and reading. He enjoyed sharing these passions with friends and family, fostering connections and creating lasting memories.

He is survived by loving siblings, including Donna (Art) Burger, Kathy Turner, Tom Gondringer, Christine (Henry) McLaughlin, and Bill Gondringer, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and sibling Anita (Larry) Schafer, as well as numerous aunts and uncles.

Paul Gondringer's legacy of service, faith, and love for his family will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
