Olga Laughlin, 98, formerly of Wilton, ND, and a resident of the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck since 2009, passed away February 12, 2018.
A funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, February 17 th at the First Presbyterian Church in Wilton with Pastor Kevin Kaufmann officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Wilton.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Wilton followed by a 7:00 PM Prayer Service.
Olga was born September 12, 1919 in Wilton, ND to Matt & Stacia (Ewine) Sawicki. She grew up and attended school in Wilton. Olga married Melvin "Mike" Laughlin in December 1938. Together they farmed and ranched north of Wilton for many years. Olga was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wilton. Her hobbies included gardening, canning, crocheting, embroidery, and maintaining numerous flower gardens.
She is survived by two sons, Chuck Laughlin of Gillette, WY, and Rodney (Rose) Laughlin of Fargo, ND; one daughter, Norma (Jeff) Hochhalter of Wilton, ND; a daughter-in-law, Sonja Laughlin of Gillette, WY; a son-in-law, Larry Sorch of Wilton, ND; 18 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, & 8 great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Brown of Tacoma, WA, Ann Werner of Spokane, WA, & Marlene Arman of Bismarck, ND.
Olga was preceded in death by her husband Mike; one son, Robert; one daughter, Gail; a daughter-in-law, Cecelia; a grandson, Shane; and two brothers, John & William Sawicki.
