Norrine S. Zwicker, 93, formerly of Turtle Lake, ND died June 27, 2015 at Sanford Health, Bismarck, ND. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Turtle Lake. Officiating will be Pastor Sondra Krogstad. Interment will be in the Turtle Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Norrine was born on July 28, 1921 to Henry and Katherine (Flemmer) Hanson. She attended rural schools in the Turtle Lake area and graduated from Turtle Lake High School.
Norrine married Reinhold Zwicker on August 10, 1940 in Burlington, Iowa. They lived in Peoria, Illinois until 1945 and then moved to Turtle Lake, North Dakota and started a car and farm equipment dealership where she worked as the accountant.
Two children were born to the Zwickers while living in Peoria, Illinois, and a third after moving to Turtle Lake: Claudette (Rev. Ben Harring) Weston, WI, Ron (Carmen) Rochester, MN and Mark (Debra) Mountain Home, Arkansas. She has seven grandchildren: Bryce Harring, Center, ND, Brent Harring, Minneapolis, MN, Tiffany (Dr. Scott Eggers) Rochester, MN, Trina (Andrey) Zwicker, Stuttgart, Germany, Megan (John) McLean Little Rock, Arkansas, Matthew Zwicker of Huntington Beach, CA and Ryan Zwicker, Con Dao, Vietnam. There are four great grandchildren: Lucas and Ancelia Eggers, Jacob and Claire McLean.

Norrine was very involved in the community. She was a charter member of the Turtle Lake Hospital Auxiliary and actively helped solicit money for the construction of the Turtle Lake Hospital. She was also a Girl Scout Leader for several years. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Turtle Lake and sang in the church choir. As a gifted vocalist, she participated in quartets, trios, and over the years sang for funerals, weddings, and other community events.
She and her husband spent many winters in both Texas and Arkansas, enjoying the warmer weather and their grandchildren. She enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, fishing, sewing, crafts, and all aspects of music.

Reinhold died in November of 2008. Norrine continued living in Turtle Lake until February of 2011 when she moved into Good Samaritan in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Norrine is also survived by a sister, Jeanette Britton of Silver Springs, Maryland and a brother, Ralph Hanson of Brea, California and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Clarence and Dale Hanson.
