Norman D. Miller, 90, of Turtle Lake, ND died January 16, 2019 at the CHI Community Memorial Hospital, Turtle Lake. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 21, 2019 at Turtle Lake Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Vetter officiating. Interment will be held in the Turtle Lake Cemetery.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.

Norman was born September 2, 1928 in Turtle Lake the son of Fred and Mabel (Pomranke) Miller. He was raised and educated in Turtle Lake. He graduated from Turtle Lake High School in 1946. He farmed with his father until he passed away. Norman continued to farm until the canal was built and divided the farm in half. Norman married Alma Schlittenhardt on June 15, 1952 in Bismarck and to this union were five children. Norman also worked as a salesman for Turtle Lake Implement, Velva Implement and retired from McLean County Implement in Washburn. In his younger years, Norman enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Tryhus of Bismarck; his sons, Robert Miller of New Prague, MN, Roger Miller of Puyallup, WA and Rodney Miller of Bismarck; 5 grandchildren, Mandy Miller, Stephanie Miller, Ronald (Melanie) Miller, Andrew (Nikki) Tryhus and Chelsie Tryhus and 8 great grandchildren.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents, wife Frances, a son, Ronald Miller, a daughter-in-law, Lynette Miller, a son-in-law, Lance Tryhus and a brother and sister-in-law, Arnold (Diana) Miller.
