Norma C. Beckman, 94, Hannover, ND died September 4, 2020 at Elm Crest Manor, New Salem, ND.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, September 11, 2020 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Center, ND with Pastor Dennis Ristvedt officiating.  Interment will be held in St. Paul's Cemetery, Center.  Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday at the church in Center and will continue one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Norma was born April 5, 1926 on a farm near Center the daughter of Henry and Emma (Hintz) Bornemann.  She attended school in Hannover.  She married Preston Beckman on July 12, 1954 in Hannover.  They farmed North of Hannover until retiring in 2008.  Preston died on January 16, 2010 and Norma continued to live on the farm until 2018.  She then moved to Elm Crest Manor in New Salem.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and South Center Homemakers Club.  Norma was also a 4-H Leader for many years and sang in the church choir in Hannover.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening, puzzles, dancing and spending time with her family and friends.

Norma is survived by her sons, Jerome Beckman of Ypsilanti, ND, David Beckman of Washburn, Dennis (Cindy) Beckman of Hannover and Dallas (Trish) Beckman of Carrington, ND; her grandchildren, Daniel, Betsy, Becky, Levi (Tommy Sue), Jason (Angela), Cody (Andrea), Samantha (Mitch), Paige, Tyler and Emily (Joe); her great grandchildren, Preston, Lily, Sophie, Melanie, Noah, Devrus, Sam, Ermine and Esther; her brother, Martin (Verna) Bornemann of Mandan, ND; her sister, Esther Bornemann of Beulah, ND; her sister-in-law, Marly Bornemann of Mandan, ND and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2010, her brothers, Lawrence (Shirley) Bornemann and Earl Bornemann; her sisters, Elaine (Norman) Yaeger and Verna (Herbert) Reuther.
