Nicolette "Nicki" Daub, 62, Washburn, ND passed away on October 27, 2015 at her home surrounded by family. She is now in Heaven after an 11 month battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Washburn Baptist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Rick Torkelson.

Nicki was born March 17th, 1953 in Bismarck, ND to Roger and Gladys (Jahner) Daub. She grew up mostly in Bismarck but attended several schools throughout the country due to the travel required from her father's career as a boilermaker.

She was a very private person and enjoyed her solitude in the country where she lived for the last couple of decades. She took joy in anything to do with the outdoors. She took pride in her yard work, flower gardening, and landscaping. Her love for animals was like no other. She had many pets throughout the years. Her fondest were her horses (Willow and Sundance) and her two favorite dogs (Toka and Lexi). She enjoyed sitting in her yard and watching the hummingbirds, rabbits, owls, and many other animals that made their presence. At night she loved star gazing and looking at the Northern Lights. Every year she looked forward to her trip up Bear Tooth Pass into the mountains. Her family lived within a 5 mile radius of her. She was blessed to live so close to her parents, children, and grandchildren and being with them was undoubtedly her favorite way to spend her time.

Her outgoing personality, love, and ability to make people smile will be missed by all.

Nicki is survived by 2 children: Chad (Kacy) Hardt and Haley (Brandon) Anderson, 2 granddaughters: Paula and Sarah Anderson, and special friend Tim.

Nicki is preceded in death by her parents: Roger and Gladys (Jahner) Daub, her best friend Terry Hayes, and many of her beloved fur babies.
