Myron L. Just, age 65 of Mercer, ND died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at his home.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, Sept. 3rd at the Mercer Community Center with Pastor Randy Emgarten officiating. Interment will be at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, south of Mercer.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Mercer followed by a 7:00 PM Remembrance Service.
Myron was born Feb. 7, 1946 in Bismarck, ND to Emanuel & Justina (Bender) Just. He lived his childhood on the family farm six miles south of Mercer. He attended country school and later attended secondary school in Mercer. Myron married Karen Brewster on February 7, 1964. They lived in Bismarck for 4 months before returning to the family farm. Together they raised two children, Scott & Tracy. Myron farmed and raised cattle for 44 years and recently retired from farming operations due to health reasons. Myron and Karen enjoyed traveling and spent the last two winters in Arizona. He loved to drive his 4X4 in the desert and enjoyed hunting, fishing, & camping. His favorite times were shared with his five grandchildren.
Myron is survived by his wife of 47 ½ years, Karen Just of Mercer; son, Scott (Gayle) Just of Bismarck; daughter, Tracy (Rod) Schilling of Mercer; five grandchildren, Jordan Schlichting of Minot, Dustin Schlichting of Mercer, Amber Just, Brittany Just, & Colton Just, all of Bismarck; one brother, Leo (Violet) Just of Bismarck; five sisters, Viola (Fred) Fredricksen of Bismarck, Alice Neumiller of Turtle Lake, Loretta "Whitey" Schiermeister of Bismarck, Verline (Verl) Jensen of Turtle Lake, & Rosie Free of Bismarck; one sister-in-law, Doris Just of Mission, TX; and numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law (Howard Brewster), one brother (Elton), three brothers-in-law (Ted Neumiller, Robert Schiermeister, & Leo Free), and 2 nephews (Jack Jensen & Shannon Brewster).
