Monty James Jesser, 44, Coleharbor, ND died September 24, 2015 at his residence. Memorial services will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday September 30, 2015 at Goetz Funeral Home, Underwood, ND. Officiating will be Pastor Randy Emgarten. Interment will be held in the Coleharbor Cemetery.
Monty James Jesser was born on November 19, 1970 in Garrison, ND to Rodney and Wanda (Kerzman) Jesser. He was raised in Coleharbor and attended Underwood Public School. After graduating from Underwood High School, he attended North Dakota State University where he received a Bachelor degree in History Education in 1995 and went on to Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas for graduate studies. Monty held multiple jobs, starting as a District Executive in Northern Lights Council with the Boy Scouts of America in 1999 in Rochester, MN to an Independent Sales and Marketing Consultant for Pure Water Technologies in 2005 in Bozeman, MT. From 2008-2012, he found himself teaching in Bangkok, Thailand as a private ESL tutor for Pan Asia International School and Ideal English Academy. After traveling, he returned to Coleharbor to work as a beekeeper with his good friend, Gordie Esser.
Having a love of traveling the United States and overseas, Monty found his soul mate Sirinun "Pek" Choonhapran in Bangkok, Thailand. In July, he proposed to Sirinun and planned to move back to Bangkok in November.
Monty enjoyed history, reading, and playing cards with friends (especially cribbage). He also enjoyed listening to rock & roll music, and spending time with his niece Candice, his family and friends.
Monty is survived by his mother, Wanda Jesser (Garrison, ND); brother, Brian Jesser (Coleharbor, ND); niece, Candice Jesser (Bismarck, ND); aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Jesser; and grandparents, Benjamin and Mable Jesser; and Roy and Jeanette Kerzman.
