Milo was born to Milton and Lola Holznagel on November 12 th , 1964. He was raised on the family farm west of Washburn. Throughout his childhood and adolescence, his outgoing personality and rowdy lifestyle quickly earned him the nickname "Cowboy". Following true to his nickname, he followed in his dad's footsteps and began farming and ranching. He wasn't alone on the farm; Roger, his brother, was right there beside him. Despite being a few miles apart, it was always a family affair come time for planting, harvesting, working cattle, or hunting season. During this time, he also met Neda Dockter. They established their own homestead close to his parents' farm. It was in this phase of life where he raised his 3 daughters, Amber, Sierra, and Brandi. His daughters were his biggest blessings and the source of his deepest love and devotion. This love and devotion only grew deeper with the birth of every new grandchild. One of his favorite titles was Grandpa. He took such pride in being called Grandpa and seeing his grandchildren grow.
In addition to his family, Milo had several passions in life. One being music. He learned how to play several instruments at a young age and continued throughout his life. He was quite the musician, playing the banjo, guitar, mandolin, and dobro with aspirations for more. Strummin' one of his instruments was one of his favorite pastimes, especially when it involved the rest of the Holznagel family. Not only could he strum a good tune, but his deep, soothing voice made him one-of-a-kind with many requests to sing at special events.
When he made the decision to leave the farming and ranching lifestyle, he turned to his entrepreneurial spirit and embarked on many new endeavors. From owning his first shop to utilizing his CDL license and starting his own trucking company. There was also one business venture he invested his life's work, to build a legacy for his children and family. Investing in precious metals through his 7k Metals membership was his newest passion. His charismatic personality and quick wit made this a perfect fit. He took great pleasure in meeting new people, having long conversations, and helping anyone in need, always with coffee in-hand. These new opportunities allowed him to embrace other joys in his life, such as traveling. He loved being able to get away from the cold North Dakota winters, and if it involved meeting new people and starting new conversations, he was all in. Whether it was traveling to his "bus" in Florida, making a long drive and stopping to see family and friends along the way, or traveling to 7k conferences, you could count on him being there. He always made it a priority that his loving partner, Tammy, was coming with so they could experience these adventures together, make new friendships, and lifelong memories along the way. He had a special way about him that left a lasting impression on anyone he met, even if it was the manager at the local gas station. His beaming smile and contagious laugh were matched by none and rivaled by all. He loved unconditionally and was unwavering in his faith.
Family and friends waiting to reunite with Milo in eternal peace are his loving partner, Tammy Hoge, his daughters, Amber (Tyler) Holznagel, Sierra (Allen) Holznagel, and Brandi (Cordell) Holznagel; his siblings, Julie (Lowell) Rader and Roger (Darlene) Holznagel; grandchildren, Chloe, Asher, Oliver, Penelope, Edith, Everett, and Jhett; sister-in-law, Joan Holznagel; many aunts and uncles, cousins, countless friends, and his 7k family.
Greeting him in Heaven are his loving parents, his brother Laren, his grandson Stone, his nephew John, and several aunts and uncles.
