Obituary

Mildred M. Patrick, 97, Wilton, ND died January 9, 2024 in the Garrison Memorial Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Wilton with Father George Pruys officiating. Interment will be  in the church cemetery.

Mildred (Millie to her friends and family) was born May 14, 1926, to Nils and Mabel (Sundquist) Tosseth and spent her childhood at the family farm between Wilton and Regan. She attended grade school and high school in Regan. She taught country school for a time for the Rock Hill Township. In 1945 she met John Patrick of Wilton and they married on January 25, 1947. The couple farmed northwest of Wilton for over 40 years raising grain, cattle, pigs, chickens, sheep, kittens, and, of course, their children until they retired in 1989 and moved into Wilton. She dedicated her life to her love of farming and her children.

She is survived by her son Kevin and daughter-in-law Colleen, Wilton; two daughters Diane Brown, Sublimity, Oregon, and Wendy Allan, Gurnee, Illinois; four grandsons and their families: Michael and Megan Brown, Eleanor and Wesley; Trent and Dana Allan, Ryder and Independence; Brett and Rebecca Patrick, Amelia and John, and Chris and Meridyth Patrick, Colin and Freida; two sisters-in-law Marie Patrick and Pauline Ziegler; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, her son Clark, and her son-in-law James Brown.
