Michael D. Dammen, 60, of Riverdale, ND died July 13th, 2015 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 17th at the Riverdale Community Church in Riverdale. Visitation will be held one hour prior to time of service at the church.

Michael was born February 1, 1955 in Minot, ND to Leland & Signe (Lee) Dammen. He was raised in Minot where he attended school and graduated from Minot High School. He married Deanna "Dee Dee" Hahn on August 27, 1977 in Minot. Mike worked at Gaffaney's in Minot for a short time and later was employed with Trinity Medical Center as a maintenance supervisor. He and his family moved to Riverdale in 1990. Mike worked as the head custodian of the Riverdale School until its closing. He then started his own business, Dammen's Carpentry, which he operated for thirteen years. His final five years of employment was spent as a Boilermaker with the Local 647 until his health prevented him from working anymore. Mike loved motocross, listening to music, and spending time with his family. He possessed a God-given ability to fix or build practically anything. Mike will be missed by his loving family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Deanna "Dee Dee" Dammen of Riverdale; four children, Paula (Tim) Tuttle of Mayville, ND, Patti (Jason) Huffman of Fargo, Crystal Dammen (Jon Boelter) of Fargo, & Nick Dammen of Riverdale; four grandchildren, Connor, Skye, Gracie, & Ethan Huffman; his father, Leland Dammen of Minot; one sister, Susan (David) Zietlow of Minot; one brother, James (Barbara) Dammen of Bismarck; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
