Obituary
Mervin E. Koehler, 76 of Turtle Lake, ND died unexpectedly on December 27, 2016 at CHI Community Memorial Hospital in Turtle Lake.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, January 2, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Turtle Lake with Pastor Sondra Krogstad officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held Monday one hour prior to time of service at the church.
Mervin E. Koehler was born March 13, 1940 in Hazen, ND to Arthur & Irene (Auwinger) Koehler. Mervin has made his home in Turtle Lake, ND for 44 years with his wife Caroline (Buchmann) Koehler whom he married in 1964. He worked as a lab and x-ray technician at the Turtle Lake Hospital for 40 years. Mervin was well known for his kind and gentle spirit and he will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife Caroline of Turtle Lake; daughter Gina (Robert) Jans of Mercer, ND; granddaughter Carrie, grandson Shannon, great grandchildren Semara and Romeo; one sister Myra; and a grand-dog Snoopy.
He was preceded in death by his father Art Koehler, step father Ben Mutzenberger, mother Irene Mutzenberger, and his brother Alois Koehler.
