Melvin Zimmerman, 79, of Turtle Lake, ND died on January 23, 2022 in the Community Memorial Hospital in Turtle Lake, ND.  There will be no services, cremation has taken place.

Melvin "Mel" was born on April 1, 1942 in Aurora, CO, the son of Robert and Genevieve (Olsen) Zimmerman.  He attended school in many different areas as a military child.  Melvin attended Whitworth University where he received his Bachelor's Degree.  He received his Master's Degree from Southern New Hampshire University.  Melvin proudly served in the US Navy for 8 years.  Melvin worked as an insurance broker for 30 years and was able to care for his only daughter as a single dad.

Melvin married Patricia "Patty" Annan on February 18, 2019 in Port Angeles, WA.  They had recently moved to Turtle Lake this past October.  Melvin enjoyed collecting coins and stamps and listening to music.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia "Patty" Zimmerman of Turtle Lake, ND; his daughter, Holly Zimmerman of Lake Stevens, WA and a sister.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Billie Lindner.
