Meinhardt Calvin Wagner, age 93, of Bismarck, died Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the Missouri Slope Care Center in Bismarck. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Bismarck Funeral Home with Pastor Lucas Wagner officiating. Interment will be held in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Mercer. There will be a prayer service on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Bismarck Funeral Home. M.C. Wagner was born to Frederich and Mathilda (Naher) Wagner on October 7, 1930, near Mercer, ND. Meiny was joined in marriage to Willa Juanita Lowe on April 16, 1952. Together they built a life with their seven children.
Meiny was a long-time farmer, excavator and school bus route contractor in the Mercer community. Later he became a real estate investor in the Bismarck and Mandan area. He left a legacy of love for family, a love of country and a love of God. Taking to heart the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:40, Meiny acted with a willingness to help others, as unto the Lord.
He is survived by his children: Stephen (Joyce) Wagner of Fargo, ND, Monica Bush of Prairieville, LA, Marcus (Sally) Wagner of Kennedy, MN, Lyle (Janet) Wagner of Regan, ND, Cheryl (Terry) Enervold of Bismarck, ND, Timothy (Yvonne) Wagner of Sarasota, FL, Craig Wagner of Mandan, ND; one sister, Erna Schock of Miles City, MT; seventeen grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Meiny was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Juanita, thirteen siblings, a son-in-law, Reuben Bush, and a daughter-in-law, Andrea Wagner.
