Mavis Lindteigen, 75, of Turtle Lake, ND died October 10, 2014 at Turtle Lake Community Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Turtle Lake with Pastor Sondra Krogstad officiating. Burial will be in the Turtle Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour before the services at the church on Sunday.


Mavis was born August 16, 1939 in Turtle Lake the daughter of Fredrick and Amelia (Wagner) Seeger. She was raised and educated in Turtle Lake. She graduated from the Turtle Lake High School in 1957. Mavis married Byron Lindteigen on August 18, 1957 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Turtle Lake. Following her marriage, Mavis lived in Turtle Lake where she raised her family.

Mavis was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school and Bible school for a number of years. She also served on the church council and was active in WELCA. She enjoyed reading, embroidery, knitting and most of all spending time with her family.


She is survived by: son, Jim Lindteigen, Turtle Lake, ND; daughters and sons-in-law: Kathy Lindteigen, Turtle Lake, ND, Nadean and Ray Shannon, Sunrise Beach, MO, Jerri and Mike Stavig, Turtle Lake, ND, Jeanine Lindteigen, Valley City, ND,and Jeannette and Billy Parker, Flin Flon , MB, Canada; 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; sister, Carol and Bill Flemmer, CA; and brother, Bruce and Lynn Imsdahl, AZ.

Mavis was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Ron and Bob.
