Matthew C. Sayler, 52, Bismarck, ND passed away surrounded by his family on September 3, 2018 at Sanford Health, Bismarck. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, September 7, 2018 at First Lutheran Church, Bismarck with Pastor Allen Wagner officiating. Inurnment will be held at 2:00 PM Friday in the Underwood Cemetery, Underwood, ND with Pastor Cory Thrall officiating. The family will greet family and friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday at First Lutheran Church, Bismarck. There will also be a Prayer services at 7:00 PM at the church.

Matthew was born May 22, 1966 in Garrison, ND the son of John D. and Adele C. (Nodland) Sayler. He was raised and educated in Underwood. He graduated from Underwood High School in 1986. Following his graduation he moved to Bismarck where he worked on a cleaning crew in the mornings and for Pride Production in the afternoon.

He will always be remembered for his love of family, the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Twins and his favorite TV show the "Dukes of Hazard". He was very active in different events with the ND Special Olympics. Matthew had a knack for remembering people and their names and touched many lives.

Matthew is survived by his sister, Ruth Reberg of Bismarck; his brothers, Paul (Dawn) Sayler of Hazen, ND, John E. (JoDee) Sayler of Bismarck, Peter (Sandy) Sayler of Hettinger, ND, Daniel (Denice) Sayler of Dickinson, ND and Mark (Sheri) Sayler of Bismarck; his aunts, Myrtle Breeding of Riverdale, ND and Mildred (Wallace) Swanson of Turtle Lake, ND; many nieces, nephews and his special friend, Sam.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and a brother-in-law, Tim Reberg.
