Mary E. Schulz, 91, formerly of Washburn, ND died May 10, 2021 in the Baptist Health Care Center, Bismarck, ND.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at First Lutheran Church, Washburn with Pastor Chuck Mann officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.  Interment will be held in the Riverview Cemetery, Washburn.

Mary was born on January 24, 1930 in Ryder, ND the daughter of Charles and Mary Olive (Ferguson) Inches.  She was educated in Ryder until the age of 16, when her family moved to Cleveland, TN.  She graduated from high school in Cleveland and attended college for a year.  Mary then returned to North Dakota where she started her working career.  She worked for the State of North Dakota as a secretary for ten years.  Mary met O.A. Schulz and they were married on January 29, 1955 in Bismarck.  To this union a son, Jason was born on April 28, 1961 while they were living in New Salem, ND.  They moved to Washburn in December of 1982.  O.A. died in August of 2000 and Mary continued to live in Washburn until moving to Bismarck in 2018.

Mary is survived by her son-in-law, Cecil Larsen of Minneapolis, MN; numerous nieces, nephews and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, O.A.; her beloved son, Jason in 2018; an infant sister, Doris; her brothers, John and Edwin Inches and sisters, Edna Rau and Alice Emerson.
