Obituary

Mary Mathilda Blotter, 75, Turtle Lake, ND died August 22, 2018 following a short illness at CHI Community Memorial Hospital, Turtle Lake. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Turtle Lake. The family will greet friends and family one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Turtle Lake Cemetery.

Mary was born January 8, 1943 in Underwood, ND the daughter of Fred and Olga (Schilling) Klain. She was raised on the family farm NW of Turtle Lake where she also attended country school. Mary graduated from Turtle Lake High School in 1961. She married Jerome Reiser in Underwood in 1960 and to this union a son Terry was born. Jerome died in 1975. Mary then moved to Oregon where her son, Terry died in 1984. While living in Oregon Mary worked for Intel. She then married Harold Teske in Tigard, OR in 1987. Harold died in 1997 and Mary returned to ND in 1998. She married Jimmy Blotter in Turtle Lake in 2005 and continued to live in Turtle Lake.

Mary had many interests and enjoyed traveling, crafts, hunting and fishing. She had lots of fun deep sea fishing with her brother, Lee. Mary and Jim enjoyed many bus trips to different places and had fun checking out the casinos. Mary also had a collection of over 100 Santa Claus'.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, 69'ers senior citizens club in Turtle Lake and the Turtle Lake American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy of Turtle Lake; her brothers, Richard (Sharon) Klain of Menifee, CA and Lee Klain of McMinnville, OR, her sisters, Ella Mae Keller of Sidney, MT, Lois (Dennis) Schott of Butte, ND and Lillian (John) Volochenko of Kief, ND, her step children, Kenneth (Patty) Blotter of Turtle Lake, Keith (Tarri) Blotter of Bismarck, ND, Kent (Denise) Blotter of Minot, Scott Blotter (special friend Calise Linstrom) of Velva, ND, Stuart (Kim) Blotter of Steele, ND and Kelly (Clay) Thornburg of Billings, MT; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her first two husbands, her son, Terry and a brother-in-law, Raymond Keller.
