Marlin Paul Meyer , 65 of Wishek, ND, formerly of Williston & Bismarck, died October 23, 2017 at the Wishek Living Center. A funeral service will be held 1:30 P.M. Thursday, October 26, 2017 at First Lutheran Church in Washburn, ND with Pastor Erik Johnson officiating. Inurnment will be in the Riverview Cemetery of Washburn.
Marlin Paul Keck was born October 20, 1952, to Marian (Carr) Keck and Eugene Keck in Bismarck, ND. Marlin was 6 months of age when his father, Eugene, passed away. Marian later married M. Neil Meyer in 1957 in Washburn, ND, and Marlin Paul was adopted as a Meyer at that time. The family made their home in Williston, North Dakota. Marlin Paul was baptized at First Lutheran Church in Washburn, ND and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Williston, ND. Following his graduation from Williston High School in 1971, Marlin Paul was employed at various businesses in the Williston area until his health began to fail. He enjoyed photography, watching classic black & white movies, and sports. Marlin Paul enjoyed conversing with people and held a very sensitive spirit for others. He lived in several care facilities, and most recently made his home at the Wishek Living Center.
Marlin Paul is survived by his mother, Marian Meyer of Bismarck; sisters, Janet Kuhn of Bismarck and Sandra (Patrick) Nelson of Sioux Falls, SD; sister-in-law, Cathy Meyer of Bismarck; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in both the Meyer and Keck families.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Keck, his adoptive father, M. Neil Meyer, his brothers, Bradley Meyer and Kurt Meyer, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
