Maizie Lange, 91, of Baldwin, ND, died October 6th, 2013 at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, Oct. 11th at Goetz Funeral Home in Washburn with Pastor Peder Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Wilton.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn.
Maizie was born September 21, 1922 in Washburn, ND the daughter of John and Lois (Jackling) Huston. She was raised and educated in Washburn and graduated from Washburn High School in 1941. She married Leonard Lange on August 28, 1941 in Husville, IN. Following their marriage they lived and farmed SW of Wilton. They moved to Nebraska in 1963 where Leonard worked in the hay mills. They retired and moved back to North Dakota in 1977. They made their home SW of Wilton. Leonard died on January 10, 1980 and Maizie continued to live in the home. She had been a resident of the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck for the past few weeks. Maize was the clerk and treasurer of the Painted Woods Township for 12 years. She enjoyed playing the piano, feeding and watching birds, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Maizie truly adored and cherished her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Maizie is survived by her sons: Larry (Ruby) Lange, Hershey, NE, Leonard Jr. (Vickie) Lange, Washburn, ND, Carl Lange, Springdale, AR, Alvin Lange, Grand Forks, ND; daughters: Loretta Lange, Dickinson, ND, Ruth (Pete) Carr, Burke, SD, Rose (Tom) Hanwell, Baldwin, ND, Janette Lange, Bismarck, ND, Betty Marie (Rod) Kramer, Bismarck, ND; 19 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; her brothers-in-law, Ray Rothmann, Bismarck, ND, Paul Lange, Wilton, ND; her sisters-in-law, Mildred Pitkin, Callaway, NE, Norma Lange, Overton, NE and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1980; a grandson Brandon Daniel Childs; a sister, Carolyn Rothmann; 4 brothers, Harold "Lindy", Darrel "Jack", Chester and Delano.
