Lynn D. Auck of Coleharbor, son of Mildred and Charley Auck, passed away on Oct 25, 2022 at the age of 81 in the CHI Garrison Memorial Hospital. Memorial services for Lynn will be held at 10:00 on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at St Paul's Lutheran Church, 3rd St and Montana Ave, Riverdale ND, with Pastor VanVechten Crane officiating.  Interment will be held in the Coleharbor Cemetery with lunch to follow at the church.

Lynn was married to his love and best friend, Carolyn Stringer, for 61 years.  Lynn had a varied work life (road construction, running a gas station in Coleharbor, Boilermaker at power plants, handyman and builder, and wood worker) but the joy of his life was his family.  Lynn and Carolyn were blessed with four children and their spouses, 16 grandchildren and 24 ½ great grandchildren.

Lynn was traditional and hardworking, but also enjoyed camping, boating, reading and western movies – especially John Wayne.  He made wonderful furniture and wooden toys that his family will continue to enjoy.  His friends and family will miss his loving and teasing behaviors – remember, he only teased you if he liked you.

Lynn is survived by his wife Carolyn, his children:  Lori (Bob) Quintus of Bismarck ND, Rob (Dawn) Auck of Fergus Falls MN, Jamie (Lisa) Auck of Underwood ND, and Holli (Yancy) Schafer of Glencoe MN and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Janice Straub of Colorado Springs CO, and sister-in-law Beverly Stemwedel Carlson of Brookings SD.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Lyle, Royal, Donald, Dale, Roger; his sister, Carol and two infant siblings, Lowell and Ruby.

Goodbye, husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa…. we will love thinking of one carpenter giving advice to another carpenter at the Pearly Gates.
